Another Step: "Dealing with Disaster, or Post-Trump Stress Disorder"
Hi all, we've taken another tentative step in developing our podcast. Since my last post, we've gone from the third trimester to being parents of a spritely little dude, who's now just over seven months old and introducing himself to us a little more every day. So that's the good news.
In the meantime, we've also had an absolutely devastating development for our country. So we sat down for about half an hour to discuss the art and culture that we turn to in times of grief, particularly now as we think about the kind of world we've brought our son into. It's a conversation about fear, anger, confusion, and ultimately seeking the common humanity with people we disagree with--yep, even Trump himself.
We hope you enjoy, or at least don't mind the technical learning curve we're on, and we hope you'll leave us some feedback below.

- I haven't been able to find the Jezebel.com article we discussed showing Trump's utterly stunned face when he visited President Obama at the White House after the election, but here's a link to a list of organizations that could use help in this frightening new era.
- Here is Kate McKinnon's performance of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" from the November 12 episode of SNL immediately following the election:
- And here is the election night sketch from that same episode:
